Welcome to CSGH
Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital is the only general hospital in the entire Northern Palawan. The DOH Administrative Order No. 2012-0012, otherwise known as “Rules and regulations governing the new classification of hospitals and other health facilities in the Philippines”, classified CSGH as a level 1 hospital.
CSGH, despite the new mandate, continues to recognize quality and humanitarian services to the People Affected by Leprosy.
CSGH has different organized service departments and offers quality ancillary services such as a secondary-level Clinical Laboratory that possesses state-of-the-art equipment that produces reliable laboratory results, a secondary Radiology Department, and a 24/7 operating Pharmacy.

Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital (CSGH) confirms that seven (7) patients affected by the recent MV June Aster tragedy are currently under our care. These patients were transferred to CSGH from Coron District Hospital.
Our medical team continues to provide the necessary medical care and assistance to the patients.

-𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Inihanda ang mga kagamitan, nagdagdag ng kama, mga supply sa paggagamot at burn care management upang matiyak na mabibigyan ng mabilis na lunas ang mga biktima ng sunog.
-𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Aktibong nakipag-ugnayan ang team sa mga lokal na awtoridad at rescuer upang matiyak ang maayos at ligtas na daloy ng pagbibigay-serbisyo.
Ang maagang pagresponde at mabilisang pag-aksyong ito ay hindi lamang patunay ng kahandaan ng ating mga tauhan, kundi pati na rin ng ating malasakit sa bawat buhay. Patuloy nating pinatutunayan ang ating sinumpaang tungkulin na to care more and serve better—lalo na sa oras ng sakuna at panganib.

Today, September 10,2026, we remember and honor the legacy of Fr. Javier Olazabal, SJ on his 38th death anniversary—a holy man, a thinking man, and a guiding light deeply cherished by the people of Culion.
His compassion, wisdom, and unwavering service left a lasting mark on Culion and continue to inspire generations.
38 years may have passed, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of the people of Culion.
May we continue to remember his life, cherish his memory, and carry forward the values he faithfully lived by.

CSGH Monday Flag Assembly: “Let Us Remain Strong, United, and One at Heart”
September 7, 2026,
The Monday Flag Assembly was led by the Nursing Service Office (NSO), represented by Mr. Elieser B. Gacayan, RN – General Nursing Supervisor, with participation from hospital personnel across units.
The NSO culminated the several months of flag assembly presided by all respective units of Nursing Division, presenting collective Division profile, data, and accomplishments. Additionally, NSO provided important updates to strengthen planning and reporting systems and to reinforce hospital-wide advocacy on patient safety, disease prevention, and mental-health awareness—in line with DOH’s commitment to people-centered, quality healthcare.
Highlights of the assembly:
▪️Launching of the Nursing Automated Report System (NARS)—an innovation that streamlines nursing reporting and automatically compiles clinical metrics.
▪️Reminders on PPMP FY 2027 submission for the timely conduct of Early Procurement Activity (EPA)
▪️Upcoming activities: MedTech Week and Pharmacy Day celebration and activities, ISO 9001 Quality Management System Third-Party Audit on October, and the CY 2026 First Semester Nationwide Performance and Budget Utilization Review
▪️Health advisories: Strengthen information dissemination against Dengue disease thru the Public Health Unit and Health Education and Promotion Officer.
▪️Wellness tips on obesity prevention shared by Dr. Aparece.
▪️Observance of Suicide Prevention Month, promoting kindness, thoughtfulness, and professional compassion toward patients and one another.
The assembly concluded with directives from Dr. Maria Regina M. Calimag, MD, DPCP, FPCCP – Medical Center Chief I, encouraging continuous improvement and reminding all units to use proper, responsible, and professional channels to disseminate information. She also reminded everyone to ensure timely submission of planning and reporting requirements, in support of transparency, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
